The Greater Newton Chamber of Commerce is an organization of business and professional people in Sussex County working together to further economic development, community improvement, and civic responsibility. They are a non-profit organization whose major concern and commitment is to further the interest of the business community in the greater Newton area.

- Main Street Newton
Throughout the nation, communities are using the Main Street approach to revitalize their traditional commercial districts, whether they have officially designated Main Street programs or simply incorporate Main Street principles into existing economic development, historic preservation, city management, or urban and community planning programs. Whatever form a preservation-based revitalization initiative takes, the national network of coordinating and local Main Street programs provides action and support on all levels.

Make Adoption Your Option. Father John's is a 501(c)3 organization
supported entirely by donations, grants, and various fundraising events. Their primary purpose is to provide love, companionship, shelter, food, socialization, and medical care for the many unwanted animals that come to them until permanent, loving homes can be found for them. Founded in 1939 by Geraldine R. Dodge, St. Hubert's serves animals and people with a wide variety of programs that nurture the human-animal bond and foster an environment in which people respect all living creatures. Many of their innovative programs for animals and people serve as models for other organizations across the country. "The Closet" supports St. Hubert's.
